Life Group for Young Adults

Young Adults Life Group | Wednesdays at 7 PM Looking for a place to connect with other young adults and build genuine friendships? The Young Adults Life Group meets every Wednesday at 7 PM in the CFC North Lobby. This group is about more than meeting once a week—it’s about creating a community where doing life together is part of the group’s DNA. Throughout the week, they make space to connect socially, build friendships, encourage one another, and simply enjoy being together. On Wednesday evenings, the group gathers to dig into God’s Word, ask honest questions, share life, and discover how faith shapes everyday life. Whether you’re new to CFC, looking for community, or ready to grow deeper in your faith alongside others, there’s a place for you here. The group begins a new study in the book of 1 John on September 16. What do you rely on to get through your day? The things we rely on are also what define us—our family, education, job, accomplishments, money. For the apostle John, nothing defined him more than the love of God in Jesus, and that is what he relied on every moment of every day. Scotty Smith takes readers through 1 John and shows how a rich understanding of the love of God prepares us to thrive in times of great stress and strengthens us for every season of life. Relying on God’s love brings true joy that empowers us to be faithful in the face of opposition. Discover how we are to live in this world as children of light and how the best way to defeat spiritual warfare is to be preoccupied with Jesus. Participants will learn how knowing Jesus equals loving Jesus, and loving Jesus equals loving others. Because the Father already loves us as much as he loves Jesus, he is committed to making us like Jesus. Contact Beth Davidson, bdavidson@cfcwired.org, for more information.

McCoy Life Group

Weekly meetings Tuesdays, offsite in Ashburn. New study begins September 22, 2026 and runs for 7 weeks. | McCoy Life Group | Meets off-campus in Ashburn| 7p Tuesdays | September - June | Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table (Louie Giglio) | In Psalm 23, David wrote that God has “prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” It’s important to note that this table is set for two. Our enemy, the devil, is not intended to join us there. Yet, he seizes every opportunity to lie his way into our minds and claim control over our lives. He can cause our minds to spin out of control with thoughts that are unproductive, destructive, and harmful. It is our responsibility to manage whose voices are at that table! Our Good Shepherd invites us to linger at this table and find nourishment, rest, and deep intimacy with the King of the Universe. It’s time to win the battle for your mind. | Contact Beth Davidson with questions. bdavidson@cfcwired.org - Debbie and Dave McCoy lead.

In this 8-session women's Bible study, you'll explore how the names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit reveal who God is, deepen your relationship with Him, and inspire you to live confidently as His beloved child. As you discover the meaning behind God's names, you'll deepen your understanding of the Trinity, strengthen your relationship with Him, and gain a greater appreciation for your identity as His beloved child. Each session will encourage you to worship God for who He is and inspire you to live in light of His character and His calling on your life.
